CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist – Turning/Milling/Grinding Are you a skilled CNC Machinist looking to work with cutting-edge machinery in a high-quality manufacturing environment? Join NMB Minebea at their Lincoln site and become part of a collaborative team delivering precision components for world-class aerospace customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth, efficient running of CNC machines
  • Producing components that consistently meet strict quality standards
  • Delivering work On Time In Full (OTIF)
  • Carrying out self-inspection and sanctioning of your own work
  • Working across turning, milling, and grinding operations (cell-dependent)
  • Supporting excellent workplace organisation and 5S standards
  • Gaining full cross-training across all cell disciplines
  • Occasionally assisting with assembly, pinning, or non-machinery tasks

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in CNC turning or milling or grinding
  • Confident using standard measuring equipment
  • Background in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • A reliable, team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality
  • Comfortable following procedures and working to targets

Desirable

  • NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (or equivalent) / Advanced Apprenticeship
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above)
  • Computer literacy

Shift Pattern

A Shift

  • Mon–Thu: 6:00am – 1:35pm
  • Fri: 6:00am – 12:45pm

B Shift

  • Mon–Thu: 1:25pm – 9:05pm
  • Fri: 12:35pm – 7:00pm (20% shift premium)
  • Overtime available when required
