CNC Machinist – Role Description
Your Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can safely set and operate CNC turning centres and vertical machine centres, ensuring consistent quality and production targets are met. At times, machinists may also be required to work in other areas, with relevant training provided where necessary.
Main Responsibilities
The role involves the following key duties:
- Operation of Mazak and Hass CNC programming systems
- Programming Mazak turning centres and Mazak 4-axis machine tools
- Interpretation of engineering drawings
- Inspection of workpieces for quality assurance
- Meeting production and quality targets consistently
- Input into continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a tidy, safe, and organised work area

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
A strong engineering background is essential, including:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience setting and operating CNC Machines
Essential Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Results-driven with a "can-do" attitude
- Strong problem-solving ability to troubleshoot production challenges
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
