About the Role

Secol Engineering is seeking a versatile manufacturing professional to join our modern machine shop on a permanent basis. We are looking for either:

  • An experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to program, set, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC Milling machines, who is looking to expand their knowledge with quality, inspection and Aberlink CMM programming.
  • An experienced Quality Inspector with some of the above CNC machining and programming experience.

For the right candidate, this position offers a unique opportunity to progress into a dual role within our business, acting as the crucial link between our commercial office and the manufacturing floor.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, handles customer communication with professionalism, and possesses the technical capability to understand engineering drawings, programmes & workflows.

The successful candidate will be a multi-skilled, technically grounded individual who is equally comfortable in a high-precision workshop and a professional office environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
