Our client is a growing precision engineering business supplying high-quality components to customers across the aerospace, automotive, and general engineering sectors. Due to continued investment in new machinery and increasing customer demand, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join their expanding day shift team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines, producing precision components to a range of tolerances. Hours: Monday – Friday | Days | 40 hours per week
Location: Nottingham
Job Description
- Set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines.
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings to customer specifications.
- Work with a range of materials, including mild steel and other engineering metals.
- Carry out machine set-ups, tooling changes, and offsets where required.
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and support the company's ongoing growth.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous experience setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines.
- Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Mazak controls would be advantageous.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience machining a variety of materials to tight tolerances.
- Good understanding of inspection equipment and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
