Position Summary
The ideal candidate will:
- Independently operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine functions while maintaining equipment reliability.
- React promptly to machine malfunctions, ensuring timely issue escalation.

Tasks span production and development projects, covering components at aerospace industry tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Operative, your core duties include:
- Offering direct support to assigned functional area(s).
- Validating policies and procedures covering:
- Safety
- Quality assurance
- Adhering to guidance documents, drawings, and instructions for precision CNC work.
- Demonstrating compliance with Parker Meggitt Health and Safety Regulations and processes.
- Attending start-of-shift meetings to:
- Clarify team targets.
- Troubleshoot current issues.
- Review communications (e.g., visits, health & safety concerns).
- Monitoring for and escalating specifications deviation to senior leadership in a timely manner.
- Ensuring 100% attendance and punctuality.
- Undertaking any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- A safe, baseline understanding of CNC machine setting and operation.
- Ability to operate gantry milling machines (training provided).
Desirable (Experience in)
- Working on Breton five-axis machining systems.
- Using Siemens 840D SL programming controls.
- Collecting precise part measurements via MSP software tools.
- Machining composite materials.
- Plate, hand, and air-powered precision tooling (e.g., Deburring, flushing).
- Air-lift crane usage for material handling.
- Interpreting G-Code.
