CNC Operator - Milling

Location: Maldon, Essex

Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour (DOE) + Overtime

Are you an experienced CNC Milling Operator looking to join a well-established precision engineering company? Our client is a growing subcontract manufacturer producing high-quality one-off and small-batch components for a range of industries, including Motorsport, Defence, and Pharmaceutical.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy workshop with plenty of overtime available and the chance to further develop your skills.

The Role

As a CNC Operator, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components.
  • Proving out jobs before production.
  • Working to extremely tight tolerances (down to 20 microns).
  • Inspecting your own work using precision measuring equipment.
  • Reading and following engineering drawings.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

The Ideal Candidate

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Previous CNC milling experience.
  • The ability to work to fine tolerances.
  • Experience carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.

The Following Would Be Advantageous But Are Not Essential

  • CNC setting and programming experience.
  • Hurco or Fanuc controls experience.
  • Apprenticeship or engineering qualifications.

What's on Offer?

  • Up to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week).
  • Regular overtime available.
