Job Title: CNC Operator

We are seeking a motivated CNC Operator to join our expanding Sheet Metal Department in Campsie site, Derry/Londonderry.
About the Role
You will be a key contributor to the manufacture of modular components for Electrical Switchgear Systems. Using Trumpf Punching and Robotic Bending machinery, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality metal components with precision, while adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC Punching and Robotic Bending machines.
- Manufacture precision components for LV & MV switchgear systems.
- Adjust machine settings (speed, feed rate) based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload materials to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct detailed quality inspections against 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly teams to meet production targets.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain machine settings logs, maintenance records, and production records.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong capability in CNC programming, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Problem-solving skills, proactive approach to challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality.

Additional Skills & Experience (Desired but Not Essential)
- Technical certification or training in CNC, Welding, Automation, or related fields.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and material specifications.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
