CNC Operator - Witham - Day Shift - 3 months temporary - Full Time - £13.00 p/h - ASAP start
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a well-established steel manufacturing company based in Witham. This is a full time, temporary opportunity, looking for an ASAP start.
This role would suit an experienced CNC Operator, or someone with a manufacturing or engineering background looking to develop their machining skills within a busy production environment.
About The Role
You will be responsible for operating CNC saws and fabrication machinery to manufacture bespoke steel products. As a CNC Operator, you will work from engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation to ensure products are produced accurately and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Operating CNC saws to cut steel components accurately
- Setting and operating press brake machinery
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and manufacturing documents
- Using hand tools and power tools to manufacture steel components
- Measuring and preparing materials for production
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Working safely in line with health & safety procedures
- Supporting production targets and workshop efficiency
- Working overtime when required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator or within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience operating saws (steel cutting preferred)
- Press brake experience
- Confident using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good communication skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Available to work the required shift pattern

What's On Offer
- £13.00 per hour
- Full time, temporary position (3-month contract)
- Monday to Friday - 6:00am - 3:30pm
- 36.67 hours per week
- Overtime available
