CNC Programmer Process Engineer
Location: Birmingham (B71) Salary: £50,000–£55,000 Shift Pattern: Days (Monday to Friday, occasional cross-shift meetings)

About the Role
As a CNC Process Engineer, you’ll lead efficiency and productivity improvements across their CNC and traditional machine shop. Specialising in the machining of aluminium castings, this facility delivers components to demanding standards of quality, cost, and delivery. The right candidate will be integral to its continued success.

The role demands a hands-on approach, combining setting, programming, and process engineering excellence to shape daily operations. Your work will involve:
- Optimising processes to refine methods, reduce cycle times, and ensure error-free output
- Driving for first-time correctness
- Employing technical problem-solving on the shop floor and fostering best practice in tooling, fixturing, and workholding

Key Responsibilities
- Setting and programming CNC equipment
- Reviewing/improving processes, methods, and cycle times
- Adopting and instilling best practice in tooling, fixturing, and workholding
- Technical troubleshooting for the production team
- Collaborating with quality, production, and engineering to meet specifications
- Driving continuous improvement projects
Candidate Profile
Key requirements include:
A robust background in CNC machining, ideally as a setter-programmer, with:
- Proven programming experience on FANUC and Mazatrol controls
- Strong setting skills across varied CNC equipment
- Degrees in industrial engineering, production engineering, or related fields (desired, but not essential)
