About the Role
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented CNC Programmer to join our Campsie site in Derry/Londonderry and play a key role in delivering world-class engineering solutions.
As a CNC programmer you will be responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient and accurate CNC machine programs that drive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC professional who enjoys problem-solving, process optimisation, and working in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop and optimise CNC programs for robotic plasma, press brake and bending machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing requirements to produce accurate machining instructions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve tooling, nesting and manufacturing processes.
- Perform tooling and material setup activities for CNC machinery.
- Conduct programming simulations and programme verification to minimise errors and maximise machine efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to operators and production teams.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and quality standards.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and best practice methodologies.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience working as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and cutting technologies.
- Experience programming CNC machinery including:
- Press Brakes
- Laser Cutting Machines
- Multi-Axis CNC Equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional manufacturing team.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience
- Experience programming CNC Punch Machines.
- Experience with TRUMPF and/or Voortman machinery.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling selection and material handling.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
