About Us:
RM Design & Engineering Ltd is a growing design and engineering company specialising in high-quality tooling, jigs, and fixtures for a wide range of industries.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join our production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set and operate large 5-axis CMS CNC machines
- Manufacture tooling and components from CAD data
- Create and optimise CNC programs using CAM software
- Use Autodesk PowerMill, with training available for candidates experienced in other CAM systems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
- Monitor machining operations and maintain quality standards
- Support other production activities when required
- Work with the team to meet deadlines and customer requirements

Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC machines
- Experience using CAD/CAM software
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good understanding of machining processes and tooling
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, practical, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
- Experience with large-format or 5-axis CNC machines is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Salary and Benefits:
- £37,440–£41,600 per year, depending on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate
- Monthly performance-related bonus
