Job Title: CNC Programmer Setter Operator
Location: Poole, Dorset (BH15)
Salary: GBP40,000 : GBP48,000 DOE
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm Friday 7:00am-12:00pm

Aaron Manufacturing is an established and growing precision engineering company supplying high-specification components to customers across the aerospace, motorsport, nuclear and oil and gas sectors.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join our skilled machining team in Poole.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value precision components in a clean, well-equipped workshop where craftsmanship, quality and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our CNC machining team you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC Lathes and Machining Centres, producing precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC Lathes and Machining Centres.
- Writing and editing Mazatrol and ISO programmes.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Selecting tooling, fixtures and machining strategies.
- Producing components to tight tolerances.
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
- Using precision measuring equipment to verify quality.
- Optimising tooling and machining processes to improve cycle times.
- Working closely with colleagues to continually improve production efficiency.
- Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys solving machining challenges.
Essential
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC machine tools.
- Experience with Mazak machinery (or similar CNC machines).
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Inspection experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Experience within an ISO9001 manufacturing environment.

Desirable
- Mazatrol programming.
- Aerospace or precision engineering experience.
- Apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.

Candidates with experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, CNC Miller, Mazak Programmer, Programmer Setter Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Operator or Precision Machinist are encouraged.
