Our client, a well-established precision engineering business based in Dudley, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their expanding manufacturing team.
About the Role
This position is ideal for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator with a strong familiarity with CNC machining and Fanuc-controlled machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with customer drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Programming CNC machinery to ensure components are manufactured to specifications
- Setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC machines with expertise in Star and Citizen sliding head machinery
- Adhering to customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements while producing high-precision components
- Meeting production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency
- Conducting first-off and self-inspection to verify that components meet tight tolerances
- Proving out programs at the machine, making adjustments where necessary, and ensuring optimal performance
- Operating with minimal supervision after training, while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Reporting tooling requirements to the supervisor and maintaining detailed records
- Ensuring a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
- Supporting continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and machine performance
- Completing required training and development programmes
- Proactively addressing health, safety, and environmental risks, reporting concerns appropriately
- Undertaking any additional duties as necessary

Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
- Proficient in Fanuc controls and CNC programming
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience working within tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment
Desirable:
- Strong practical skills in setting and operating Star and Citizen sliding head CNC machines

Package Details
- Salary: £19/hour (AM Shift, 06:00–14:30, Mon–Fri) / £20/hour (PM Shift, 14:30–01:00)
- Overtime: Time-and-a-half (x1.3) for weekdays/Saturdays, double-time (x2) for selected Saturdays
- Annual leave: 25 days + Bank Holidays
