As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive, reliable team member to join our Fabrication team in the CNC work centre.
Role Description
The CNC Router Operative will be responsible for operating CNC routing machinery to manufacture cladding components to precise specifications. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Interpreting technical drawings
- Setting up machines
- Loading materials
- Monitoring production runs
- Performing in-process quality checks
The role also involves:
- Basic machine maintenance
- Accurate recording of production data
- Adherence to health and safety procedures

Collaboration with the team leader and the wider Ops team to optimise workflows and meet project deadlines is expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based in St Leonards on a weekly rotating shift structure (06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00).
Key Skills
- Experience operating CNC routers or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Experience with measurement tools (Vernier Caliper, Thickness Gauge etc).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and consistent output.
- Strong attention to detail in the accurate completion of all relevant paperwork.
- Understanding of basic machine maintenance, tooling changes, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop or factory setting, including safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, team leaders and colleagues on production priorities.
- Previous experience in the processing and fabrication of composite materials is beneficial.
- A valid forklift license is beneficial.

Salary & Benefits
- £14.25 P/H per hour (rising to 15.00 upon completion of probation)
- Monday to Friday working pattern on a weekly rotation – Saturday overtime available at the company’s discretion
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
