Role Overview
Alloyed is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient production of precision components and ensure the overall functionality of the CNC machinery.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for quality assurance. You will work closely with engineers and technicians, ensuring that the work is carried out according to process specification and schedule, and that technical challenges are quickly tackled.
Responsibilities

Machine Setup and Operation:
- Configure and set up CNC machines according to specifications, including loading necessary tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Operate CNC machines while maintaining machining tolerances and carrying out first off inspection checks to drawing requirements.

Quality Control:
- Identify any deviations or defects in the production process, implementing corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to establish and maintain quality assurance procedures, documenting and reporting any quality issues or concerns.

Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including calibrating, cleaning and lubricating.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve machine malfunctions, mechanical issues, or programming errors.

- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of machine setup parameters, tooling data, and production logs.
- Provide timely updates and communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members regarding production status and any issues encountered.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced precision engineering environment
- A good ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
- Good time keeping
- Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- High level of attention to detail
Desired Skills
- Experience of using DMG Mori milling machines
- Familiar with Siemens control software
- Familiar with CNC milling material including but not inclusive to: Nickel, Aluminium, Titanium
