CNC Setter/Operator - Nights

CNC Setter/Operator – Permanent Nights

Location: Plymouth Salary: £39,000

About the Role

This is a permanent night shift role covering Sunday night to Friday morning.

  • Shift pattern: 10:00 PM (Sunday) to 06:00 AM (Friday morning, 5 shifts per week)
  • Overtime available
  • Future flexibility for other shift patterns

Responsibilities

  • Setting and/or operating CNC machines
  • Producing components to engineering specifications
  • Conducting first-off inspections and in-process checks
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Experience and/or knowledge of machining processes in a precision engineering environment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with inspection and measuring equipment (Formal engineering qualification is advantageous but not always essential; experience carries weight.)
