CNC Setter/Operator/Turner
A growing Engineering business, recognised as a world leader in precision automation components, is looking for a CNC Setter/Operator/Turner to join its team in Hertford.
The business has nearly 60 years of innovation, backed by extensive application experience and utilisation of the most advanced materials.
We welcome applications from all areas, with candidates from Harlow, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Watford, Ware, Enfield and Bishop Stortford especially encouraged.
Location and Hours
- Location: Hertford
- Hours: 39 hours per week, daytime only
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday (07:45–16:45), Friday (07:45–12:45)
Key Responsibilities
As a CNC Setter/Operator/Turner, you will:
- Set and operate CNC machinist
- Inspect your own work
- Ensure quality of work meets high standards of accuracy, thoroughness, and neatness
- Produce a significant volume of work efficiently within specified timelines
- Demonstrate appropriate judgment and decision-making skills when required

Required Skills and Experience
We are seeking candidates with:
- Experience with CNC machines
- Experience with cutting metal
- Some turning experience (training will be provided)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Self-disciplined, with the capability to work independently
- Minimum education at GCSE standard or equivalent

**Salary
GBP £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
