CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: 39 Hours/week

We are recruiting for a CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator who is responsible for setting and operating CNC sliding head machines to manufacture high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

Role:
You will play a key part in the production team, ensuring components are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards:
- Set and operate CNC sliding head machines (preferably Star or similar)
- Perform part inspection using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges
- Ensure components are produced to tight tolerances and quality specifications
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support production goals
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

- Proven experience with CNC sliding head lathes (Star or similar)
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
