CNC Turner – Day Shift

Location: Braintree, Essex

Contract: Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator/setter to join our Turning department based at our site in Braintree working the day shift.

The successful candidate will be part of a team operating Fixed Head CNC Turning machines, turning a variety of bearing race parts and associated components.

Scope

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, loading and running programs through prove out according to the tools list and works instruction, producing a valid first-off component and loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities. Conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Proficiency in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques
  • Ability to work productively independently and as part of a team

Hours Of Work

  • Mon – Thu 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday 8.30am to 4pm
  • 39 hours per week

Working hours can be confirmed at interview.

Additional hours at overtime rate are available to suit business demands.
