CNC Turner (Fanuc programming)
Job Description:
Vacancy Detail CNC Mill/Turn Programmer (Fanuc)
Keighley
Up to £24.00 per hour
Monday to Thursday | 2:00pm – 12:30am | 40 hours per week
Permanent
The Company
Our client is a growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Keighley and is currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Programmer to join their machine shop on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during a period of growth and play a key role in establishing a brand-new late shift within the machine shop. The successful candidate will initially complete a period of day shifts to learn the products, processes and wider business before moving onto the permanent late shift.
This role will suit an experienced machinist who is confident working independently and is able to programme, set, operate and troubleshoot Fanuc-controlled mill/turn machinery with minimal supervision.
The Role
The primary focus of the role is to take responsibility for machining operations on the newly created late shift, ensuring components are produced efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be self-sufficient in Fanuc mill/turn programming, setting, operating and troubleshooting, as they will be the sole machinist on shift after 5pm alongside warehouse operatives. This is a role requiring a confident, capable engineer who can work autonomously and take ownership of the shift.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
