GSD Technologies is a growing precision engineering company supplying high-quality machined components, fabrications, and assemblies to a range of industries including defense, marine, aerospace, medical, automotive, and industrial engineering.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our skilled manufacturing team.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC lathes to produce high-precision components from a variety of materials. Working from engineering drawings, you will ensure components are manufactured to specification while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and programme CNC turning centres.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using measuring equipment.
- Make programme edits and optimise cycle times where appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work closely with the inspection and production teams to meet delivery deadlines.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
- Ability to programme, set and operate CNC lathes independently.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
- Vernier calipers
- Micrometers
- Bore gauges
- Thread gauges
- Height gauges
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
