About the Role

We are looking for a co-director to help lead the organisation and decide which problems we take on. Co-director is a working title. It is not a company directorship or a trusteeship, and it carries no legal duties or personal liability.

What Difference Will You Make?

One person currently decides what we work on and signs off what we publish. A second director gives every judgement a second opinion, and gives us someone else who can speak for us to regulators and journalists.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Experience of consumer rights, digital policy, or running a small organisation.
  • Judgement about what is worth saying in public, and what is not.
  • A willingness to disagree with the other director, and to be disagreed with.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You do not need all three. Tell us which you bring, and what you would want help with. The role carries no legal duties, so we are looking for judgement and experience rather than board service. Tell us if you need anything changed about how you apply, or about how we would work together. Ask before you apply if that is easier, and it will not count against you.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Set the direction of the organisation, and decide which problems we take on.
  • Speak for us to regulators, funders, and journalists.
  • Read what we publish before it goes out, and hold the line on accuracy.
  • Meet the other director once a month, at a time that suits you both.

We are looking for experience of consumer rights, digital policy, or running a small organisation; judgement about what is worth saying in public; and a willingness to disagree with the other director, and to be disagreed with. You do not need all three.
