AniMap UK
AniMap UK is building a modern, DEFRA-compliant UK companion animal microchip database designed to improve pet welfare and reunite lost pets with their owners faster.
Our platform will provide secure microchip registration, 24/7 pet reunification, veterinary and implanter access, lost and found reporting, advanced owner account management, and seamless integration with other UK microchip databases. We are also developing complementary products including smart QR/NFC pet tags and additional welfare-focused services.
The business has already been incorporated, branding has been established, industry relationships are in place, and work has begun towards nationwide database integrations. We are now looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to help take the platform from development through to launch and beyond.

This is not a freelance or paid contract position. We are looking for someone who believes in the vision and wants to become a genuine co-owner of the business by receiving equity in exchange for their technical expertise and ongoing commitment.
We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Modern full stack web development (React, Next.js, TypeScript or similar)
- Backend API development
- Secure database architecture and design
- Authentication and user management
- Cloud hosting and deployment
- Git and collaborative development workflows
- Building scalable SaaS platforms

You'll be involved in:
- Developing the core AniMap platform
- Creating secure, scalable architecture
- Building features for pet owners, veterinary practices, rescue organisations and microchip implanters
- Working alongside the founders to shape the technical direction of the company
- Helping develop future products and integrations
