The Context
Nuqe is an autonomous compliance and data-privacy infrastructure layer built to protect regulated lenders and consumer finance firms from severe regulatory penalties. Our core asset is a pre-LLM PII tokenisation framework that intercepts, sanitises, and logs sensitive financial data before it interfaces with large language models, ensuring strict compliance with UK GDPR and FCA mandates. We are completely bootstrapped, highly efficient, and operating at the absolute edge of modern engineering efficiency. We haven't built this using a legacy agency. Instead, we have engineered a synthetic digital software factory. Our architecture, user stories, and feature pipelines are orchestrated by a structured, automated network of specialised AI agents, meticulously managed via Confluence and Jira.
We have established strong visual MVPs, built our web layer, and secured high-level verbal backing from an ex-VC to secure an initial £100k to £200k seed runway upon clearing our visa endorsement milestone.
We are looking for a true technical co-founder to step in as the Human Override Controller. You will co-steer the vision, audit the underlying code, and help transition our AI-generated infrastructure into an enterprise-ready production environment.
The Visa Opportunity (Dual-Founder Track)
This role offers a unique, high-value opportunity if you are looking to secure your own UK Innovator Founder Visa. Because Nuqe’s underlying core technology relies on genuine, deep-tech infrastructure innovations (such as our custom PII tokeniser and compliance framework), it satisfies the strict Innovation, Viability, and Scalability tests used by Home Office-approved endorsing bodies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The founder is fully committed to a dual-application strategy. By joining early and actively shaping the production architecture, you will build a rock-solid case to apply for the visa alongside the founder. The company will actively support your endorsement application using our live product traction, comprehensive Confluence blueprints, and VC backing.
The Deal
- Compensation: Immediate equity split (negotiable based on chemistry and commitment).
- The Funding Trigger: Zero cash salary today. However, you will be the absolute first technical hire to receive a competitive salary the moment our pending seed or grant funding round closes.
- Commitment: Part-time, fully remote, and highly flexible. We respect your current job, your family, and your projects. We care about clear Jira ticket delivery and architectural direction, not hours logged at a desk.
Who You Are
- You are an entrepreneurial builder who gets energised by creating something out of absolutely nothing.
- You are highly technical with a solid understanding of B2B SaaS product design, data pipelines, and application architecture.
- You think in terms of systems design rather than just line-by-line coding. You understand how data flows, how APIs scale, and how encryption pipelines operate.
- Experience or deep interest in Data Security, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs), Tokenisation, or Fintech Compliance is a massive bonus, but your raw ability to engineer clean workflows matters most.
- You love the idea of using AI as a leverage tool. You want to manage automated agent pipelines rather than fighting against them.

What You Will Actually Do
- Architectural Oversight: Act as the ultimate technical authority. You will review the Confluence schemas and audit the codebase generated by our specialised DevOps, Data, and Front-End AI agents to ensure enterprise scalability.
- The Production Rebuild: Help steer the prototype from an AI-accelerated MVP to a hardened, production-ready environment that passes an enterprise-grade VC technical due diligence audit.
- Strategic Partnership: Work directly alongside our Chief Visionary Officer (CVO). You will help shape the product roadmap as we plan our expansion from the UK market into the EU and Australia.
- The Scale-Up Transition: Help interview and select our permanent, full-time UK engineering squad once our venture funding lands.
A Note from the Founder
"I built the first iterations of Nuqe out of pure necessity, survival, and deep passion, using every piece of leverage modern AI could offer. I do not care about a perfect corporate resume or decades of climbing ladders. I care about grit, character, mutual respect, and a shared obsession with solving complex problems. If you have the technical skills to build robust B2B platforms and want to secure your future in the UK tech ecosystem on the ground floor, let us build this together."
How to Apply
Skip the generic cover letter. Send us a link to your GitHub, a summary of a cool system or product you have built, and a brief note on why this operational model resonates with you. Please let us know if you intend to pursue the Innovator Founder Visa so we can align our application timeline.
