About Heritage Skills Academy

Heritage Skills Academy is a specialist apprenticeship training provider dedicated to developing the next generation of skilled craftspeople for the heritage engineering sector. Operating from Brooklands Museum and Bicester Motion, we work with employers across the historic vehicle industry to deliver hands-on training in the repair, restoration and maintenance of heritage, classic and vintage vehicles.

The Role

We are looking for experienced individuals to join our Coachbuilding Tutor team on a part-time basis.

We are seeking people with practical industry experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Chassis repair • Fibreglass repair • MIG/MAG welding • Resistance welding • Glazing • Plastic welding

You do not need to be experienced in all of these areas. We are interested in hearing from individuals with specialist knowledge who would like to share their skills with the next generation.

You will work with small groups of apprentices, delivering practical, hands-on training and helping learners develop the skills required to repair and restore heritage, classic and vintage vehicles.

This opportunity would suit experienced technicians, restorers, coachbuilders and craftspeople who are passionate about passing on their knowledge and supporting the future of the industry.
