About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Sales, the Coaching & Development Trainer will be responsible for the induction, training, and development of sales employees at our office located in Burnley town centre.
Working closely with the Sales Manager, you will assist in delivering sales targets by developing the skills and knowledge of our Fleet and Fuel Card Sales Teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure new recruits receive the best possible introduction to the business by delivering our induction program in a dynamic and engaging way.
- Deliver additional on-the-job training for all sales staff in line with our post-induction training schedule.
- Deliver regular refresher training and support.
- Conduct structured and engaging one-to-one coaching, positively influencing staff’s sales performance. Ensure coaching is documented effectively and sessions are followed up regularly.
- Review best practice from across the business and make recommendations to the National Training Manager for improvements to our training programs.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of fuel cards, the competition, and the market, ensuring this knowledge is communicated and understood by new starters.
- Deliver training to existing staff members on any new products, services, or initiatives.
- Liaise regularly with Sales Managers and the National Training Manager to review new starter progress and agree training and coaching objectives.
- Maintain regular, consistent, professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance of new sales staff.
- Attend quarterly L&D (Learning and Development) review meetings.
- Be willing to travel to support training and development needs across the wider organisation when required.

About You
- A good standard of education, preferably with a ‘C’ grade or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Experience working in an office environment is essential, preferably with Business-to-Business (B2B) Telesales experience.
- Supervisory skills are advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A good communicator, both oral and in delivering presentations, with a professional, confident manner and excellent customer service skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to organise and prioritise.
- Resilience when working under pressure, coupled with a strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Target-conscious and results-driven.
