Job Title: Coastal Modeller

"Are you ready to join a team of flood risk specialists and shape the future of the Water Industry?"

About the Role

Our Water team is seeking a passionate Coastal Modeller to join our dynamic and fast-growing Water Business Line. This is your opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects across the UK and beyond, while working within one of the UK’s most ambitious and connected northern engineering hubs.

In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in developing resilient, future-proof solutions for communities, infrastructure, and the environment. No two days are the same—innovate, collaborate, and grow with a team that thrives on diversity in projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in undertaking modeling studies for various projects, from feasibility and option appraisal through to detailed design.
  • Collaborate with other disciplinary teams to support delivery of modeling studies.
  • Develop, set up, and apply numerical models for coastal and marine projects.
  • Aid senior team members in project delivery, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure tasks are delivered within agreed budgets, programs, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to technical reports and project documentation.
  • Liaise with internal teams, and where relevant, communicate with clients and stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
