Redstone Commodity Search is working with a growing metals trading firm seeking to hire a Cobalt Trader to join their London office. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in expanding the firm’s presence in battery metals markets.

- Develop and execute trading strategies for cobalt, including physical trading and structured transactions, with P&L responsibility.
- Originate and maintain relationships with producers, refiners, OEMs, and industrial consumers across global markets.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities within the battery metals space, particularly cobalt supply chains.
- Negotiate contracts and manage end-to-end trade execution, including logistics, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and geopolitical factors impacting cobalt markets.
- Collaborate with internal teams across logistics, finance, and risk to ensure efficient and compliant trade execution.

Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in physical metals trading, ideally with exposure to cobalt or battery metals.
- Strong understanding of global cobalt supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and market participants.
- Established commercial network within metals markets, including producers and consumers.
- Experience managing P&L and executing profitable trading strategies.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
