I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Rosewood
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is the defining force in relationship hospitality—where deep human connections inspire extraordinary luxury.
Since 1938, we’ve built a legacy from prioritising connection over convention. The decision to open hotels in Mayfair, seawater-washed Anegada, or quiet meridians of Ottawa reflects our philosophy that a child’s curiosity, a single decade’s leisure reimagined, or the hustle of a city—all belong in luxury.
Our spaces are powered by blended heritage, warm detail, and stewards who understand the delicate balance between individual identity and authentic welcome. Whether guests are acquainting themselves with the comfort of a Rosewood suite or unwinding with a conversation that permeates craft of a newly minted cocktail, every experience is personally curated.
To us, luxury isn’t just a price point—it’s a dialogue. We invite you to be part of shaping it.
