Medical Locum Team Overview
The Medical Locum team coordinates short-term bookings for all supplementary medical staff within NHS Lothian. This includes doctors from FY2 to Consultant level, GPs, and Dentists.
We are looking for individuals who are hardworking, reliable, and dependable and able to work on an ad hoc, flexible basis often at short notice. Please note that work can be varied across the Lothians and is not guaranteed.
Regular and Flexible Work Patterns
Applicants are required to evidence current GMC Registration (including entry on Specialist Register if at Consultant level) on application and at point of interview. Successful candidates will be required to undertake online mandatory training and complete a PVG Disclosure Scotland application.

- NHS Lothian Medical Locum workers are paid weekly or monthly pending on your preference, giving greater control over your finances. You can work extra shifts to take a little bit extra home at the end of the week. You will also accrue annual leave as an extra bonus to take on a day when you are not on shift.
