Role Description
The TIG Welder Stainless Steel role is a contract, on-site position based in Cheshunt. The role involves performing high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components and pipework, following technical drawings, welding procedures, and safety standards. Day-to-day duties include:

The TIG Welder will inspect welds for quality and defects, carry out basic finishing and cleaning of welded joints, and collaborate with supervisors and other trades on installation and repair tasks. The role also requires maintaining a safe and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations, and completing job documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong TIG welding skills on stainless steel, including experience with thin-wall and pipe welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, standards, and quality inspection methods (visual inspection, basic NDT awareness).
- Proficiency in using welding and fabrication tools, including grinders, cutting tools, and measuring equipment.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in industrial and construction environments.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., TIG stainless steel, coded/position qualifications) are highly beneficial.
- Pipe Fabrication experience required
- Experience in data centre construction site
- Ability to work on-site in Slough, collaborate effectively within a team, and adapt to changing project needs.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
