Role: Cognitive Neuroscience Advisor

Location: Remote (anywhere, UK or USA location preferred)

Flexi-work, part-time, engagement options from 1 to 8 days per month

Position Overview

We are seeking high-level Advisors to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in the field of cognitive neuroscience. This advisory role requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in neuroscience to drive research agendas, influence the roadmap, and provide technical & strategic guidance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide high-level technical guidance to senior management or board-level stakeholders regarding emerging neuroscience trends and their commercial or policy implications.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice on cognitive neuroscience & neuroimaging data modalities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with international experts, academic centres, and industry partners to facilitate collaborative research and funding opportunities.
  • Mentorship: Provide senior-level technical expertise to supervise and support staff when needed

Qualifications & Domain Expertise Required

  • 10+ years of total experience in neuroscience or relevant domains.
  • Significant experience in cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging data modalities (EEG, fMRI, MEG, fNIRS, ECoG, MEA, SEEG).
  • PhD and/or 5+ years of deep-dive experience in one of the following:
    • Neurobiology of Consciousness
    • Computational Neuroscience
    • Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI)
    • Human Memory Research
    • Dementia Research (e.g., Alzheimer’s Disease)
