Cold Food (Salad) Associate
Location: [St. Mary's College of Maryland](16800 Point Lookout Road, Saint Mary's City, MD 20686) Schedule: Full-time – Monday to Friday (1:30 PM - 9:30 PM) + Saturday & Sunday (12:30 PM - 8:30 PM) Minimum Requirement: Previous food service experience Pay Rate: $15.61/hour
About the Role
We are hiring immediately for a cCold Food (Salad) Associate responsible for preparing and serving sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items. Jaw-dropping opportunities await at Bon Appétit, where sustainability and high-quality ingredients drive success.
Job Summary Cuts deli meats, vegetables, and cheeses with slicing machines, knives, and cutters, then assembles and serves sandwiches, salads, and cold food items while maintaining food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain daily production schedules and prep requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare/slice sandwich meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments to specifications for portion control and quality.
- Stock and replenish cold food prep areas according to merchandising standards.
- Transport food trays between prep stations, fridge, and serving areas.
- Store food efficiently (with HACCP-compliant labeling, rotation, and storage).
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, floors, and prep surfaces.
- Operate slicing machines by setting blade thickness, loading, and slicing prep items.
- Collaborate with teammates to uphold inventory, hygiene, and service quality.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
