Miryco Consultants are working with a leading fixed income asset manager to add a Collateral Specialist to their Investment Operations team. You should have experience supporting the full lifecycle of trading events as well as collateral processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily collateral processes including margin calls, settlements, substitutions, and returns
- Perform collateral eligibility, valuation, concentration, and haircut checks
- Monitor and resolve margin disputes with counterparties and clearing brokers
- Ensure compliance with collateral agreements (CSAs, GMRAs, GMSLAs) and internal policies
- Reconcile collateral balances and investigate breaks in a timely manner
- Liaise with custodians, tri-party agents, and counterparties to resolve operational issues
- Support collateral-related reporting to Risk, Treasury, and senior management
- Maintain robust controls, documentation, and audit trails across collateral activities
- Support the operational lifecycle of investment trades from execution through settlement
- Coordinate with front office, Risk, Finance, and external service providers on asset servicing matters
- Oversee post-trade processes including confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations
- Monitor and resolve operational breaks and exceptions across asset classes
- Support NAV, cash, and position reconciliations where required
- Assist with regulatory, audit, and internal control reviews
- Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and operating model enhancements

Experience:

- 3 years plus experience in asset operations, collateral management, or a related middle-office role
- Strong academic background from a leading university
- Good understanding of collateral mechanics, margining, and operational risk
- High attention to detail with a strong control mindset
- Proficient with Excel and operational systems; familiarity with custodians or tri-party agents is beneficial
