Job Reference: 339478
Location: Maidstone Delivery Office, ME15 9EE
Job Type: Permanent contract
Hours: 25 hours per week, working 5 days across Mon–Sat, with shifts between:
- 14:00–19:00 (Monday to Friday)
- 07:00–14:00 (Saturday)
Note: There may be a requirement to work Sundays when necessary. You may also need to cover duties at other offices in the surrounding area when demanded.

Most importantly, you’re someone who:
- Thrives in flexible shift patterns (working early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends as required)
- Has a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Is physically fit enough for long periods of walking and working outdoors in all weather
- Is passionate about community service

- Guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)
- 22.5 days holiday (rising with length of service, adjusted for part-time hours if below 37 hrs/week)

Note: Roles offering 35–37 hours/week are listed as full-time, but any role under 37 hrs/week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
Responsibilities
- Securely deliver all required items (including election materials) on your assigned route
- Follow Royal Mail business standards for high-priority items (such as food products or alcohol)
- Carry out collection services at business and residential locations
- Perform network duties like post-box checks, office visits, and drop-off at processing centres
- Verify mailbags and ensure emergency parcels are handled sensitively under Royal Mail policies
