College Assessor Trainer – Professional Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing

As a College Assessor Trainer, you will:
- Train and assess Welding & Fabrication subjects for full-time students to support progression to employment.
- Ensure workshops are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
- Prepare teaching and learning materials in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance the quality of learning and teaching through engagement with college observation programmes.
- Maintain workshops, equipment, and tools to the highest standards, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
- Liaise professionally with customers and employers.
- Implement an effective and timely stock control system for materials and consumables, including ordering tools and equipment.
- Contribute to programme teams, committees, and boards as required.
- Lead and oversee practical community or college projects, upholding high standards.

Essential Experience
- Significant industrial experience in a welding & fabrication environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Teaching Qualification:
- Award in Education (Level 3) or a commitment to complete within three years.
- Mathematics & English:
- Level 2 qualification (equivalent to GCSE 4+ or C/4 and above), including:
- GCSE 4+ or C/4 (or higher) in English and Mathematics
- CSE Grade 1 / O-Level Grade C or above
- Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy, or equivalent.
