College Women’s Football Head Coach
Head of Hartpury College Women’s Football Programme – Permanent Position
£28,561 per annum | 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
Lead and manage the Hartpury College Women’s Football Programme, creating a high-performance, values-driven environment that promotes excellence both on and off the pitch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive recruitment of talented female footballers and facilitate their athletic and personal development.
- Collaborate on strategic planning, coaching, recruitment, performance objectives, and long-term development goals across the college and university women’s football programmes.
- Develop a clear vision for the programme that aligns with Hartpury Football’s mission: "To be the best environment for developing people and performance."
- Foster a supportive, professional, and enriching culture for players and staff.
- Ensure holistic athlete development by working with academic, coaching, and support staff.
- Act as an ambassador for Hartpury Football, representing its values and aspirations at all levels within the sport.
About You
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification in Sports Coaching, Sports Science, or a related discipline.
- UEFA B Licence (or higher, with UEFA A desirable) OR a recognition teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
- Proven experience in coaching high-performance or elite-level athletes, with a strong understanding of player development and performance environments.
- Experience in leadership and management—the ability to inspire teams and cultivate a high-performance, inclusive culture.
- Commitment to high-quality coaching, ongoing professional development, and promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in sport and education.
- Passion for nurturing student-athletes with mentorship, motivation, and alignment to Hartpury Football’s values.
