A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as the Combustion Aerodynamics Group Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of gas turbine technology. You will scope technical requirements for combustion aerodynamics tasks while balancing resource loading to ensure efficiency. Your expertise will provide essential technical oversight and first-line approval of the work conducted within your group. Collaborating closely with project managers, you will ensure timely delivery of tasks and offer valuable advice to product owners on sales topics and product capabilities. Engage with mechanical design teams, combustion experts, and academic partners to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- You will scope and define technical requirements for combustion aerodynamics tasks, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Provide technical oversight and first-line approval for all work within your group, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Manage combustion support across production testing, manufacturing, field service, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure on-time delivery of tasks while liaising effectively with project managers to meet project goals.
- Advise product owners on escalated sales topics and identify opportunities for product capabilities and enhancements.

What You Bring
- You hold a Beng/BSc (or equivalent) in engineering or a related field, with a Master’s degree or PhD being desirable.
- You possess a working knowledge of design and development processes, particularly in gas turbine product structure, design, and specifications.
- You have in-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: combustion systems, fuels and emissions, rig or engine testing, or CFD.
- Previous experience in managing projects and teams, demonstrating your leadership capabilities.
- You are actively working towards or have achieved CEng status, showcasing your commitment to professional development.
