Job Description

As a Combustion Engineer at Honeywell, in the Midlands, you will be responsible for performing equipment start-ups, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance activities at customer sites along with diagnosing and resolving technical issues through effective problem-solving and troubleshooting. This is a field-based role, with travel across the region and the UK as required with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting engineering activities to achieve on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems, working independently at times.
  • Prepare site visit reports and maintain time sheets for submission to clients.
  • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development.
  • You will support cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment.
  • You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • To ensure that the Company Health and Safety Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous combustion engineering experience working with process gas and oil burners.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems including industrial installation experience (plumbing, pipework, hydraulics)
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
  • Commercial Gas certification (COCN1, TPCP1, CCN1, CIGA1, CORT1 & CDGA1, ICPN1)
  • Able to work confidently on their own initiative as well as a part of a team.
