Commerce Specialist-Chinese Speaking

Super Smart Service Ltd (SSS)

Established in December 2015 in the West Midlands, UK, SSS is a large-scale multinational logistics company under the Zong Teng Group. Our core business is to support Chinese domestic cross-border e-sellers and local UK online retailers by providing reliable warehousing solutions, timely delivery services, and expandable platform integration on international trading platforms (including eBay, Amazon, and others).

Originally offering fulfilment warehousing and final-mile distribution services, we have since grown into a network of 10+ warehouses across the UK, with further expansion underway. Our current operational sites are located in:

  • Walsall
  • Lichfield
  • Cannock
  • Worcester
  • Wolverhampton
  • Stone
  • Derby
  • Alfreton

We maintain partnerships with major logistics providers, including:

  • Royal Mail
  • Yodel
  • Evri
  • China Post
  • DPD
  • Palletways

As well as pan-Asian carriers:

  • YunExpress

Commerce Specialist

  • Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility required)
  • Contract Type: Full-Time
  • Travel: Willing to travel to different locations based on operational requirements

About the Role

The Commerce Specialist will play a strategic role in warehouse management and corporate operations, primarily supporting strategic leasing, inventory logistics, procurement, and commercial analysis in a multi-regional European context. This role demands strong negotiation skills, business agility, and analytical expertise to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Leasing & Commercial Support

  • Lead coordination of warehouse leasing projects across multiple European locations, including:
    • Negotiation with landlords and market intermediaries
    • Analysing lease terms (duration, rent-free periods, handover conditions)
    • Tracking project milestones from site selection to occupancy
    • Supporting lease renewals, expansions, and terminations
  • Provide commercial insights into warehouse operations and market positioning

Bulk Procurement & Project Support

  • Assist in large-scale warehouse procurement (e.g., forklifts, shelving systems, consumables):
    • Supplier liaison, quote comparison, and delivery coordination
    • Contract management, purchase order tracking, and milestone review
  • Consolidate and disseminate procurement data across multiple regions for efficiency

Project Coordination & Cross-Functional Teamwork

  • Act as a business liaison for operations, warehousing, finance, and admin teams
  • Monitor commercial risks during projects and resolve issues to closure
  • Prioritise workloads and meet deadlines across concurrent projects

Data Management & Analysis Support

  • Compile and update commercial datasets, including:
    • Warehouse rental costs and lease structures
    • Procurement timelines and delivery schedules
    • Project milestone progress
  • Generate performance reports for project reviews and strategic decision-making

Preferred Experience

  • Background in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or cross-border e-commerce
  • Experience negotiating with European landlords, suppliers, or intermediaries
  • Interest in project management, commercial strategy, or operational optimisation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree Level: Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
    • Business Administration
    • Logistics/Supply Chain Management
    • Related commercial fields
  • Minimum Work Experience: 2+ years in roles that align with:
    • Project support, business operations, or operational support
    • Commercial negotiation, vendor management, or warehouse structuring
  • Employment Eligibility:
    • Must possess the right to work in the UK for at least 12 months
    • Skilled Worker visa sponsorship may be available
  • Mandarin Proficiency:
    • Fluency in spoken & written Mandarin is highly advantageous (regular communication with China-based HQ)
  • Bonus Considerations: Experience in warehouse management, negotiation, or operational risk mitigation
