Overview
We are looking for future commercial leaders. The Vanda Commercial Academy has been created to develop individuals who will go on to become Institutional Sales Executives, Sales Directors and future leaders of Vanda. If you're ambitious, intellectually curious, and excited by financial markets, we want to invest in you.

With the launch of Vanda Analytics in Q3 2026, we are building the Vanda Commercial Academy — a graduate programme designed to generate qualified pipeline and develop the next generation of Vanda sales talent.
The Role
This is the first stage of a structured career designed to develop future Institutional Sales Executives and the foundation of the Vanda Commercial Academy. You will be responsible for generating qualified pipeline for the Institutional Sales team — researching prospects, executing personalised outreach, and booking discovery meetings for senior Sales Executives.
From day one, you will be educated on financial market, trained on Vanda's products, learn how to identify high-value prospects, and hold intelligent conversations with sophisticated institutional investors about their data and analytics needs. You’ll work directly with Vanda’s senior leadership and experienced sales executives from your first week.

High performance opens a direct pathway to a Sales Executive role within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & prospecting — build and maintain target account lists across priority segments (hedge funds, asset managers, central banks, banks).
- Outbound outreach — work with Vanda’s marketing team to execute personalised, multi-channel campaigns via email, LinkedIn, IB messaging, and telephone.
- Qualification — assess inbound and outbound leads against Vanda's Ideal Client Profile and progress the most promising opportunities.
- Meeting booking — book qualified discovery meetings for senior salespeople and provide a thorough briefing ahead of each conversation.
- CRM management — log all activity in HubSpot accurately and within 24 hours; maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline record.
- Market intelligence — develop a working knowledge of Vanda's product suite and the macro / flow data landscape to hold credible first conversations.
- Campaign support — contribute to conferences, webinars, and product launch campaigns, including the Vanda Analytics roll-out in Q3 2026.
Who We're Looking For
- Degree in finance, economics, languages, or a quantitative discipline (2:1 or above preferred).
- A demonstrable interest in financial markets, institutional investment, or data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you will be corresponding with sophisticated professionals once initial training is completed.
- Resilient, structured, and comfortable with the discipline of consistent outbound activity.
- Competitive, curious, and keen to build a career in institutional sales.
- Prior internship or work experience in financial services, data, or a client-facing role is a plus but not required.

The 12-Month Development Programme
All Commercial Academy Associates will follow a structured development programme:
- Q1 (Oct–Dec 2026) — Academy onboarding: Vanda products, macro markets, CRM training, messaging workshops, and shadowing senior sales.
- Q2 (Jan–Mar 2027) — First campaigns: outbound activity by segment, weekly call coaching, qualification practice.
- Q3 (Apr–Jun 2027) — Geography ownership: own one to two vertical campaigns and generate pipeline independently.
- Q4 (Jul–Sep 2027) — Discovery support: join discovery calls, contribute to proposals, and be assessed for promotion to Account Executive.
