Location: Rotherham
Package: £Negotiable + Bonus
Due to consistent growth, we are seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join our team from our Rotherham office. You’ll be supported by our dedicated broking and claims team, allowing you to focus on winning clients and maintaining their satisfaction.
About the Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding client service, growing our portfolio of clients, and ensuring high retention rates. This role demands strong relationship management, financial discipline, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Daily Responsibilities
- Developing a personal pipeline of new business
- Expanding your network by adding new introducers
- Advising clients on:
- New business quotations
- Coverage requirements
- Renewals
- Working with clients to expand their insurance coverage
- Liaising with the broking and claims team to ensure accurate documentation
- Maintaining compliance and timeliness in all claims
- Achieving retention targets and revenue goals
- Collaborating with management to support business objectives and colleague development
- Ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations and company standards
- Building strong relationships with clients, underwriters and stakeholders
- Assisting clients with day-to-day queries and providing quotations for coverage changes

Key Responsibilities
Client Service
- Deliver exceptional client service for positive outcomes.
- Proactively grow client numbers through engagement and relationship building.
Client Retention
- Achieve 90%+ retention of existing book of business by:
- Engaging early on renewals to discuss expectations and market conditions.
- Identifying improvements in insurance programmes.
- Attending and participating in PRISMS meetings.
- Providing quotations for uninsured risks.
- Referring clients to other Brown & Brown services where appropriate.
Financial
- Meet budget expectations, including:
- Revenue (commission, fees, and PCL).
- Operating profit margins.
- Manage aged debt to avoid fines and prevent losses.

Markets
- Support Group, Regional and Hub broking strategies.
- Implement re-engineering strategies for optimal market placements.
Compliance
- Operate fully within FCA regulations and all corporate requirements.

Requirements
- Proven track record in Commercial Insurance markets.
- Experience in insurance sales or account management.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, video, negotiation, influencing, relationship-building).
- Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels, including board-level clients.
- A full driving licence is mandatory.
