The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Commercial Account Executive to join our rapidly expanding Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team—now with over 200 people across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, from sole traders to MDs/CEOs of large organisations.
- Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve commercial objectives.
- Develop business opportunities through marketing, community engagement, networking, and sales meetings.
- Ensure a strong market presence while identifying and exploring new revenue streams.
- Be a consultative expert: ask the right questions, actively listen, and navigate client needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Always aim to find a "path to yes"—turning challenges into wins.

About You
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Proven experience in winning new business and maintaining long-term B2B client relationships.
- A passion for sales and growth—enjoying activities like networking, client meetings, and market expansion.
- Tenacity and business curiosity—to spot opportunities, learn quickly, and work effectively under pressure.
- Willpower to grow: embrace challenges and progress professionally while potentially advancing your qualifications.
