Commercial Account Executive – Howden Consumer & Local Commercial Team

About the Role
We’re looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our rapidly growing local Commercial team, which now spans over 200 professionals across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ranging from sole traders to the MD/CEO of large organisations.
- Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and proposing tailored solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through marketing, networking, and client engagement.
- Ensure growth through consultative discussions, always aiming for a "path to yes" approach.

About You
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record in winning new business and cultivating long-term B2B client relationships.
- Passion for commercial development—abilities in marketing, networking, and client-facing activities are essential.
- Tenacious and business-savvy, with strong curiosity to explore new opportunities.
- Enjoys continuous learning—this role demands adaptability and agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Consultative mindset: expert in asking the right questions, active listening, and offering solutions aligned with client goals.
