Commercial Account Executive

We’re now expanding our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team—a rapidly growing network of over 200 professionals across the UK—with an immediate need for a Commercial Account Executive.
About the Role
You’ll build strong relationships with both new and existing B2B clients—from sole traders to SME owners and up to MDs/CEOs of large organisations. Collaborating closely with your Branch Manager, your goal is to drive growth, secure new business, and ensure alignment with our strategic objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Winning new clients and cultivating long-term B2B relationships
- Unlocking business opportunities through proactive networking, community engagement, and consultative sales techniques
- Understanding client needs by asking the right questions and actively listening—then advising on tailored insurance solutions
- Achieving measurable results by identifying revenue opportunities and driving the "path to yes"
- Collaborating with the Branch team to ensure seamless client satisfaction and operational excellence

About You
We’re looking for a tenacious, commercially curious individual with:
- Proven experience in winning new commercial business
- Passion for relationship-building, including marketing, events, and client meetings
- A consultative mindset—someone who thrives on problem-solving, questions, and uncovering opportunities
- Agility to learn as each day brings new challenges and growth
