Commercial Account Handler – Howden Consumer & Local Commercial Team

The Role

We’re seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join our rapidly growing Local Commercial team in the UK—now 200+ strong. Reporting to a Branch Manager, you’ll:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients ranging from sole traders to MD/CEOs of large organisations
  • Uphold compliance and FCA standards while meeting customer expectations
  • Support renewal retention and quotation processes through meticulous documentation review
  • Work actively with Commercial Account Executives to drive business growth

  • Close attention to detail – reviewing data for accuracy, ensuring quotes are flawless
  • Strong interpersonal skills – fostering relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and external contacts
  • Flexibility and adaptability – a willingness to learn as each day presents new challenges
  • Self-motivation – proactive problem-solving in a dynamic environment
  • Robust data-handling capabilities on client systems for informed analysis
