We’re seeking an ambitious Commercial Account Handler to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team.
About the Team
Our local Commercial team has rapidly expanded over 14 years and now includes over 200 professionals across the UK.
This role involves:
- Building rapport with new and existing clients, ranging from sole traders to MDs/CEOs of large organisations
- Collaborating closely with Branch Managers to achieve business goals
- Ensuring compliance and meeting customer expectations

About the Role
Responsibilities
- Reviewing client documentation for completeness and accuracy to support quoting processes
- Maintaining strong relationships with:
- Internal stakeholders
- External clients
- Brokers and vendors
- Supporting Commercial Account Executives in:
- Increasing renewal retention rates
- Exceeding customer satisfaction
- Meeting FCA requirements
- Processing data accurately on relevant systems to:
- Enhance client service
- Support internal processes
- Enable informed analysis
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in (or willingness to learn) insurance account management
- Ability to:
- Build and sustain client relationships
- Adapt to rapid changes
- Support professional growth (including upskilling)
- Willingness to progress through the account management ranks
