Job Title: Commercial Account Handler / Account Executive

Location: Swansea

Salary: £30,000 – £70,000

Benefits: Hybrid working, profit share scheme; additional earnings linked to agreed criteria

About the Company:

A well-established independent insurance broker is looking to strengthen its commercial team across South and West Wales. The business has a strong reputation for client service, technical advice, and long-term relationships with businesses across a broad range of sectors.

About the Role:

This is a flexible opportunity for a commercial insurance professional who wants to take the next step in their broking career. The firm is open to speaking with candidates who are looking for a full Account Handler role, those who want to move into Account Executive work, or experienced Executives who have a book of business they could bring across and continue to develop.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service commercial client accounts: Build trusted relationships while keeping clients well supported throughout the policy lifecycle
  • Support renewals, MTAs, quotations, and policy administration: Develop strong technical broking experience across a varied commercial client base
  • Work closely with Account Executives on mid-market and corporate cases: Gain exposure to more complex risks and develop your commercial confidence
  • Handle smaller commercial cases independently where appropriate: Take ownership of client work and build your account management experience
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain terms and resolve queries: Strengthen your market relationships while helping secure suitable outcomes for clients
  • Maintain and develop a client book where relevant: Continue building long-term relationships while managing additional existing business
  • Identify opportunities to improve cover or support client needs: Add value through proactive, commercially aware advice

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
