Commercial Account Manager

📍 Birmingham / Loughborough | 💰 Up to £50,000 DOE | 🏡 Hybrid Working | Full-Time | Permanent

We're working with one of our long-standing clients, a well-established commercial insurance brokerage that forms part of a respected national insurance group.

Following continued growth and a number of successful appointments over recent months, they're looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an experienced Commercial Account Manager. Having partnered with the business on multiple hires, we've seen first-hand the investment they're making into their people, the quality of their leadership team and the opportunities available for those looking to develop their career within commercial insurance.

If you're looking for a role where you'll manage an established portfolio, work with quality commercial clients and be part of a business that's genuinely investing in its future, this is well worth a conversation.

The Role You'll take ownership of an existing portfolio of commercial clients, providing advice and ongoing support while working closely with Account Executives, insurers and underwriters to deliver excellent client outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing renewals from start to finish.
  • Handling mid-term adjustments and day-to-day client servicing.
  • Advising clients across a broad range of commercial insurance products including Commercial Combined, Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity and Cyber.
  • Negotiating competitive terms with leading insurers.
  • Working alongside Account Executives to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
  • Supporting clients throughout the insurance lifecycle, including claims support where required.
  • Building long-term relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen and develop existing client accounts.

About You You'll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Account Handler or Commercial Broker.
  • Strong cross-class commercial insurance knowledge.
  • Experience managing SME and Mid-Market commercial clients.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach.
  • Experience working within a UK commercial insurance brokerage.
  • Cert CII (or working towards) would be advantageous but isn't essential.
