Senior Commercial Administrator
Department: GTM Location: Bristol (Kingswood) Compensation: £30,000 - £35,000 / year
About the Role
As a Senior Commercial Administrator, you will manage the core commercial processes for our contracts, including:
- Applying for payments, ensuring timely cash flow and resolving any obstacles internally or externally.
- Running reports, managing manual payment applications, and collating additional evidence where necessary.
- Co-ordinating payments processes for our largest regional contract while providing general support to the commercial team.
For the right candidate, there’s opportunity for rapid progression into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
Hours: Either 7am – 4pm or 8am – 5pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with submitting contract variations to the client.
- Handle daily/weekly payment applications to the client system.
- Produce weekly reports and maintain internal databases.
- Support the commercial team with day-to-day operations while developing new skills.
- Foster effective relationships with internal colleagues and external clients.
- Optimise reporting systems for maximum efficiency.
- Close orders on the client system to accelerate payments.
- Identify and resolve payment issues through clear liaison internally and externally.
- Oversee manual payment applications and substantiation requests.
- Assist in reviews of Depot-level Profit & Loss statements and cost analysis.
- Aid in identifying areas for Depot performance improvement.
- Support the assessment of sub-contractor applications.
- Provide analysis and feedback to Deputy Managers on cost/sales margins.

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role would be a strong asset.
- Preference for Construction/Traffic Management sector experience, though not mandatory.
